The Prince’s Trust International Achieve Programme aims to bridge the gap between the school and the place of work. This programme helps young people reach their full potential allowing them to grow confidence and gain teamwork skills. It also aims at improving the students’ attendance, behaviour, attainment and their personal development and employability skills.
Our school has been one of the first seven schools in Malta to participate in the project during its pilot study back in 2015. Since then, we continued working on this programme with very successful results.
This year we have a group of 13, Year 10 students who are actively involved in this programme. They are working on a number of different units including Planning for Personal Development, Teamwork, Participating in Exercise, Active and Healthy lifestyle, Managing Money and Work Experience.
When the students complete the programme, they will not only have achieved a number of important skills but they will also get a certificate issued by the Prince’s Trust that can help them in their future, whether they would continue with their studies or start working.
